What is Glaucoma?
The role of the optic nerve is to transmit the light signals received by the back of the eye to the brain so we can see. Glaucoma is a disease that causes the optic nerve to degenerate quicker, slowly affecting your periphery vision and eventually causing blindness without medical attention
How is glaucoma diagnosed?
Our optometrist can identify glaucoma before you notice any symptoms or suffer lasting vision loss. Early diagnosis is critical to prevent blindness and slow down the damage to your optic nerve.
We use the latest technology and imaging devices to evaluate your optic nerve health, checking your internal eye pressure and visual field to screen for glaucoma. If you’re at risk for glaucoma, don’t wait to get your eyes examined until it’s too late. Request an appointment by phone or online today.
