Our practice in Kelmscott has just installed the Zeiss VISUFIT 1000, the latest digital 3D technology measurements for patients. It’s 9 synchronised cameras provide a full 180° image. Measurement data is processed using 45 million points. From these images, we can determine the centration required for any pair of frames chosen by the patient. This optimizes the optical performance of your finished lenses in your glasses, enhancing your vision to be it’s exceptional best
Why is centration so important?
Inaccurate centration is known to decrease the optical performance due to unwanted prismatic effects, making it uncomfortable to wear. Accurate optical centration is especially important if you have a high optical prescription, wearing multifocals lenses or having more than one dioptre difference in between both eyes. Zeiss VISUFIT 1000 makes the process of centration quicker, easier and comfortable for patients.
Comparison between frames
Another feature of the VISUFIT 1000 is it allowed patients to take multiple 3D images of them with their chosen frames. Patients can then refer to their images and enable them to closely compare various pairs of frames, before selecting a pair best suited to them. Patients with higher prescriptions may find this feature particularly useful.
Simulating lenses
With VISUFIT 1000, we are also able to simulate a range of lenses onto their 3D image. This enables patients to make sure that they are happy with the coating or tint on their lens.
Overall, the patient is given a memorable, enjoyable and easy experience when purchasing lenses, frames and sunglasses from us.
